Nadia SelimThe Australian Research Council awarded Associate Professor Sue Nichols, Professor Karen Dooley, Dr Michelle Neumann, and Dr Hannah Soong a $251,176 grant to engage in innovative research. Associate Professor Sue Nichols will lead the project, and the University of South Australia will be responsible for administrative leadership of the project.
By combining a detailed survey of 500 school leaders with networked case studies, this project will be the first comprehensive Australian study of school-home digital connectivity focusing on parents. It will also be the first internationally to take an ecological systems view to investigating this complex phenomenon. The outcomes of this research will provide policy and educational leadership with a roadmap for addressing barriers to digital inclusion as schools advance their integration of digital platforms.
